New Month...New Goals!


Yesterday was the first of the month but forgot to post my monthly goals. New months are like Mondays...great way to restart and recharge. Part of being fit and healthy requires constant motivation and goal setting. So what are your monthly goals going to be? Here are mine:

  • Run a total of 50 miles this month either outside or treadmill.
  • Incorporate speed work on the treadmill at least once a week (I hate the treadmill so hoping this will motivate me.)
  • Try one new healthy recipe a week (Pinterest will be my friend this month!)
  • Continue to increase water intake (I have actually been good on this, just want to continue).
  • Try to get at least 7 hours of sleep every night (this one will be hard).

Each week I will re-check my goals to make sure I am on track. I am really excited to post recipes. A few of you have asked for this, so I am happy to finally oblige. If you have specific recipes you would like me to try email them to me at fitwanderlustrunner@gmail.com. Also expect new workouts on the blog. 

For those of you that know me, know I have a massive planner that has my entire life in it. I love it because I am completely OCD when it comes to organizing my life. My husband even laughed at me when I purchased it because he said I already had a planner, my phone. This planner has helped me in actually putting my goals in writing. There's somethings about writing things down that makes my life run so much smoother. I also color coordinate my planner...I know total type A!

I highly recommend everyone finding a way or method of jotting down your goals. I purchased this planner at Erin Condren. They are a bit pricey, so this may not be for everyone. You can always get something similar at Target, Walmart or your local drug store. I just know that without this, reaching my goals would be a bit harder. It's all about organizing your life to be the best you can be. 


So this month I encourage you to jot down your goals and follow through!
