What I've Been Up To Lately

Happy Sunday! Well what's left of it. I have been a busy bee these past few days. With the move coming sooner than later I am starting to slowly get things together. I know I should have done more by now but it's been kind of hard juggling everything. Relocating to a new city is pretty stressful especially when you have to sell your home.

My husband has been busy with minor house projects to make the house more sellable. I see no problem with selling my house but we would like to get top dollar for it. Hopefully we can put it in the market in the next two weeks. One last thing we have to do is finish the back yard. So tomorrow I head out to SD with my dogs. They will become San Diego residents before my husband and I. Once they are gone and with my parents, we can re-sod the back yard. I am actually not very excited about this dogs are my babies.

So what have I been doing lately? I have been packing...finally! And I have also been trying to spend quality time with friends. My social calendar is pretty packed from now until I move. I was super happy I finally got to meet this cutie! He is going to be such a heart breaker when he gets older.

I've also been trying to get in my last few Physical Therapy appointments (until my insurance runs out).  I have two more appointments and it is safe to say I am going to miss them. I mean every visit lasts about three hours and it makes it even more enjoyable when everyone in the office is awesome. Maybe it's because they have been seeing me since November, but I just feel so comfortable there.

I wish I could say that I have been cured and that my plantar fasciitis has just completely gone away but it hasn't. It hasn't necessarily gotten worse but it hasn't gotten better. I do however find so much relief after every appointment but the second I go back to work the pain just comes roaring back. The only thing that helps is tape and good shoes.

Speaking of good shoes...I went shoe shopping yesterday. I had a gift card for the local running store and since I am moving I needed to use it. It was down to two pairs. I usually stick to Mizuno but this time around I needed more cushion and support. So which shoe did I choose? Drum roll please....Brooks Glycerin 12. Fingers crossed they work out for me!

I also really needed to go to the store because I needed to pick up my race packet for the Heavenly Half Marathon. Oh yeah I ran a half marathon today! So yeah I have been a bit busy.

I'll post a race recap tomorrow but for now I am enjoying what's left of my Sunday.

Did you race this weekend?
