Product Review: Trekz Titanium Pink

I wanted to share with you guys one of the things that has kept me motivated during my marathon training. I've made it no secret that I love running while listening to music. I have even let you guys know what my current favorite music playlist is from time to time. When I listen to music while I run, it kind of puts me in a trance. The beat of the song pretty much determines my pace. So I tend to like songs that are fast and loud. Having a good pair of headphones makes all the difference too. I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to test out the Pink Trekz Titanium headphones from AfterShokz. I received them about two weeks ago and I have been using them ever since on all my runs, workouts, and even phone calls!

The company AfterShokz has a patented bone conduction technology that delivers premium stereo sound with a promise of safety and comfort that is second to none. Every other pair of headphones I have used have covered my ears making it difficult to hear anything else. When running this can be a bit dangerous since we really should be aware of our surroundings at all times. While running outside we have to be alert of other runners, cyclists, cars, and any other dangers that may be around us. The Trek Titanium headphones allow you to hear it all with their open ear design. You listen to music through your cheekbones, ensuring your ears remain completely open to hear ambient sounds.

These headphones are the first pair of wireless headphones that I've ever used.  The concept to me still seems unreal but hey it works. They are super light weight and sweat proof which is a huge plus! San Diego has been having an excessive amount of humidity for our standards and boy have I been sweating a lot.  I had to charge them as soon as I received them and that took about an hour and a half. And with one single charge the headphones can last for up to six hours with continuous music or calls. Turning on and off is super easy and once you pair it with your phone you are pretty much set to go! The first run I did in these bad boys, they didn't move or budge. I'll be honest, I was skeptical of the design. I thought they wouldn't stay put but I was most definitely wrong. On my last long run they died on me but I knew it was coming since the voice prompt had warned me that my battery was low. I did have a second pair with me in my car but those felt weird. I guess I am already used to how my wireless headphones feel.

As you can see from my pictures, I was given the pink Trekz Titanium headphones to try out. Why pink? Well for every unit sold through October 31st, 2016 on, AfterShokz will donate 25% of proceeds to Bright Pink. Bright Pink is a non profit that focuses on breast and ovarian cancer awareness and education. How amazing is that? Also, every time you use the hashtag #awarewithpink on any form of social media AfterShokz will donate 25 cents.  Not only does this company provide you with great products but they are giving back to such a great cause.

One thing I did forget to mention is that these are a limited edition so get them while you still can! Honestly I would highly recommend these headphones. They feel great on and I feel safe when I run in them. I can now hear my favorite tunes and everything that is around me. Oh and there is one more thing...when you order these headphones you are able to get a FREE case with the purchase of the Aftershokz Pink Trekz. When checking out just make sure the small case is in your cart and apply the code PinkGift. The code won’t apply to the order with no case in the cart. So go online and purchase these bad boys!
