Big News To Share!

Has it really been over two months since my last blog post? I guess it has... What have I been up to? Well lots of things actually.

  • I started a new job and so far I'm loving it. No, I didn't quit my other job I just picked up another job. So yes I am now working more but can't complain since the extra money is coming in handy.  I've also been busy with work committees so that's taken a bit of my time.
  •  I ran a half marathon in January. I didn't get a PR but I was able to run with my coworker and he got a great time. I am still running but currently not training for anything. I have just been staying active and have even attended a few free boot camps and yoga classes in my area. I had to back out of a few races this year but I'm okay with that too. My body needs a good year to recover from how hectic my workout schedule was last year.
  • The last two months my husband and I also managed to travel a bit. We stayed at a great cabin with friends over New Years, we got to see my in-laws for a few days, and just last month we went on a great weekend trip to San Luis Obispo. We have certainly taken advantage of our little excursions since things are about to change drastically for us.

But the greatest and best news I can now share with you guys is:

More info to follow...but our miracle baby is coming and we couldn't be happier!!

  1. Congratulations!! You must be so excited! I'm very happy for you.

  2. Among the various workouts that one can do to stay fit and healthy, long distance running is perhaps the most difficult exercise. It is a known fact that if you are not passionate about running, then no matter what you won't be able to run long distances. Besides that, one needs to build strong levels of stamina and must focus on building endurance if you are planning to run a half-marathon or full marathon. Thanks to the author for sharing great tips on long distance running and on various techniques through which you can build your stamina and endurance.
